Last weekend, after being sick for most of January, I took a visit over to Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, Arizona. I wanted to try a new lens that I got for Christmas. Still not feeling perfectly well, I didn’t quite get the photos I wanted, but I had fun nonetheless.
Apparently when the butterfly breaks out of its cocoon it’s body is very large. It was very interesting to listen to one of the employees answer all our questions. Soon after it emerges it starts draining fluid filled with fat out of the bottom of its body.
The colors of the butterflies during this visit were so unusual and beautiful!
From polka dots to stripes every butterfly was unique …
