Polar Express

Last Fall, 2016, we took a trip up North to ride The Polar Express via the Grand Canyon Railroad.

Besides the horrible migraine I got on the way up there, most likely because of the elevation, it was a great time. We had dinner at a diner, had peppermint schnapps to put in our hot chocolate, got our tickets punched, got Christmas bells, heard the story and saw Santa Claus!

We had the whole diner to ourselves and the food was great, atmosphere was cute and good times…

The next day we we had breakfast in Williams, walked around some trains and stopped at The Flintstones before heading back home. We had a great time!

*. Blog more

*. Eat better and exercise more.

*. Print more of my photos.

*. Be kinder and more forgiving.

*. Experience new places and things.

*. Work hard.

Below is my nine most liked Instagram photos for 2017…

Tomorrow I’ll post a list of all the upcoming events I will be posting about!

Lights of the World…

One of the best things to do in Phoenix during the holiday season is the Lights of the World light display. Last year the display was on the outskirts of town, this year it was at the fairgrounds near downtown Phoenix. I did not make it this year, but last year we enjoyed it immensely. Here are just a few of the photo I took during out visit with our dear friends.

I was amazed at the size of the exhibits, the overhead lights and all the highlights of the World!

There were pandas and visions of China…

There were huge trees and holiday gingerbread…

Mermaids and undersea fantasies…

The overhead lights were fun to walk under…

There were fun dinosaurs and animals …

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Hellsgate Excursion, Oregon

Last Summer, when visiting friends in Klamath Falls we went on the Hellsgate Excursion.  It was a great time!   We had a great lunch, few drinks and got wet in the hot sun!   Good times.

If you look real close you can see the baby bird in the nest…

Beautiful houses…

A great lodge….great food and great drink and great friends!

Hopefully, we will make another Excursion next year!
