On the way back from our trip to southern Arizona we stopped at the Saguaro National Park (I believe it was East – if I am wrong please correct me)!
We started off by driving thru the scenic loop drive. Be careful here as so many bicycle riders. Which can be rather distracting.
It was a beautiful park and a beautiful day.
The cactus here are so tall, difficult to show in the photos.
After stopping at all the pull-offs on the loop we stopped to take a hike. Remember to always take a lot of water with you, winter or summer. It started off as an easy hike, but got pretty difficult 1/2 thru, but we made it.
Love the roots on this tree!
My favorite Saguaro of the day …
I need to get back down there to check out the West Saguaro National Park, that I believe is like a forest of cactus.
It was a beautiful park and I would totally recommend visiting it when you are in Tucson. Remember take lots of water!
