Hot Air Balloons – Part 1

The best way of travel, however, if you aren’t in any hurry at all, if you don’t care where you are going, if you don’t like to use your legs, if you don’t want to be annoyed at all by any choice of directions, is in a balloon. In a balloon, you can decide only when to start, and usually when to stop. The rest is left entirely to nature.— William Pene du Bois, The Twenty-one Balloons.

Last Fall I got up super early and went to the Arizona Balloon Classic.  It was very nice, although there were a few things I was disappointed about, but, I still had a great time.  The first morning they didn’t get started until much later than there schedule suggested and not as many balloons as I would have thought.  I went two mornings in a row and got some of the following photos opportunities…

I took so many photographs over those two days!

I just wish I could find someone that would get up that early to go with me!!

Of course in Arizona you have to have a cactus balloon!

Come back again soon for Balloons Part Two!  Until then, LAF
