Springtime in 2020

What a strange Springtime it is this year. Doing the whole social distancing thing is so hard. I miss going to my favorite gardens, going out to eat, seeing my family and friends. Staying home and working from home are harder than I thought it would be!

The photos on this post are all from February, 2020 at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. My home-a-way-from-home. I miss it immensely! This time of year I go quite often at 7:00 a.m. to be there, for the most part, by myself. However, this year it is closed. All those beautiful flowers blooming with no one to see them! Well, there is always next year.

Just a few flowers were blooming in February. Some of them are not really flowers! Just colorful which with the sunrise was so pretty. As you see below…

I got a new lens for Christmas and it is the 7Artisans 28mm 1.8 (I think – I am terrible with remembering names and numbers.) Anyway, I’ve only gotten to use it once so far and that was on this trip. Sure, sure, I could use it at home, but I have been really down in 1the dumps and hard to get motivated to shoot stuff around my house.

The following are some unique and beautiful cactus …

A few random photos, including some birds, branches and my favorite photo of the day …

Favorite of the day. Tried to grown one of these once. Didn’t work out well for the plant.

Until next time, stay home and social distance! Later!

LAF XOXO

  1. Love your perspective on these, Laurie. Did that little hummingbird have his whole face in the water? Whatever….made me laugh…I, too, have no motivation to photograph right now. Spending the days cleaning up photos on my hard drive….Why do I have so many duplicates and triplicates….and of bad photos? Ah, well….on to spring!
