Hellsgate Excursion, Oregon

Last Summer, when visiting friends in Klamath Falls we went on the Hellsgate Excursion.  It was a great time!   We had a great lunch, few drinks and got wet in the hot sun!   Good times.

If you look real close you can see the baby bird in the nest…

Beautiful houses…

A great lodge….great food and great drink and great friends!

Hopefully, we will make another Excursion next year!

Baldwin Hotel Museum

Last year when visiting Klamath Falls, Oregon with a friend we took a tour at the Baldwin Hotel Museum.  This is an amazing place stuffed full off antiques and unique items.   Although I have shared other posts here regarding this Museum, I thought I would share a few of my favorite pics…

And finally a typewriter just like the one I learned on!

Happy Sunday!

If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. Bruce Lee

Birds of a feather.  Random pics taken over last year of birds in Arizona and Oregon.

Come back everyday this week for more random post as I try to clean up my photo library!

Klamath Falls – Maud Baldwin

While visiting the Baldwin Museum last June I came across the camera collection and studio of Maud Baldwin, photographer.  Maud was a photographer whose father owned the Baldwin Hotel.   She lived from 1878 – 1926.  She committed suicide in the lake across from the hotel at the age of 47.  They do not know if it was from being heartbroken over her love that left town or from the use of harsh photographic chemicals over the years.  It was the highlight of my visit to the Museum!

Check out her photography collection here

Here are a few photos of her studio…
