Payson, Arizona

Last Fall my daughter and I were lucky enough to go up north and visit for the weekend with my niece K and my sister-in-law Jane at her cabin.  We had such a good time.

The first night we got to her cabin just after the sunset.  It was quite the challenge to find her cabin in the pitch dark, raining and no lights!  But we made it.  We had dinner, Moscow Mules and dessert. Since we had worked that day my daughter and I retired early to the guest house out back, a nice trailer by the creek.  It poured rain all night and to be honest, I was a little worried a few times during the night with the creek so close to our home!  I pictured us floating down the raging river!

We got up the next day, had a beautiful breakfast and drove to the Mogollon Rim.

It rained off and on during our visit, but we had a great time.  We played cards, games, sat on their porch and watched out for elk, birds, cows and squirrels.  As you can see we saw everything but no Elk.

We had a great day up on the Rim, taking photographs, checking out the lake (which name escapes me, sorry). It was just gorgeous.

That night we had some more rain.  Check back soon for photos from our day trip to Pine, Arizona.  A very cute little town!

Until tomorrow, LAF
