I love California Adventures, Cars Land, Bugs Life, all of it! I always feel relaxed at CA, whether it’s because the crowds are less, the food is fun, some of my favorite rides are there, I’m not sure, but while I love Disneyland, I always have a relaxed fun day and night at CA.
Just a few of my favorite photos . . .
Until tomorrow, LAF
I have a love-hate relationship with Disneyland. I love it for the reasons that follow and hate it for how it makes my feet hurt! On this recent trip to the Magic Kingdom and California Adventures the park literally chewed me up and spit me out, that’s how bad my body hurt. However, I pushed on and loved the whole experience of the park. Some of my favorite parts of the Magic Kingdom are the smells, sounds, rides and visual delights. The fact that the park is always so clean, even with throngs of people in its midst, is always amazing to me.
One of my favorite moments at the park this year was when my family and I just so happened to stop in front of the Cinderella’s Castle to discuss our next plan of attack. As we stood there looking at the map music slowly started overtaking the area, the lights went dim and the Castle was bathed in a capitvating bright blue light. The castle began to transform itself into a snow covered twinkling gorgeous winter wonderland. It even magically snowed!
At California Adventures we were treated to a new part of the park, Cars Land, with its 50’s style decor. Although we loved the new part of the park during the day, at night it really came alive. The neon was out in full effect! There was Cozy Cone Motel, Flo’s V8 Cafe and Luigis Casa Della Tires (all places to grab a bite to eat). The area at night was mesmerizing with it’s neon signs, Christmas lights, delicious smells of kingsized turkey legs and corn dogs. The most thrilling ride in Cars Land was Radiator Springs. The ride takes you in a sports car thru the colorful Southwest, past gorgeous waterfalls, at high rates of speeds and twist and turns. Definitely gets the adrenaline pumping! A good time was had by all.
P.S. I have signed up to take a travel writing class for the next six weeks. The above was from my first lesson! Any critiques are welcome so I can improve my writing skills!
