“One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.” – Dale Carnegi
I’m so happy it’s officially Fall! There is hope that it will cool off soon and I can venture back outside, be in nature and play with my camera! It has been so hot, yesterday being 105 at least. I anxiously await the day it is 80 degrees or so and I can go to the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens, Wildlife Zoo, and just be outside without melting!
The photographs for today are from April when we visited The Rose Garden at Mesa Community College. There are over 9000 rose bushes at this garden and all of them were tended to so beautifully. There was Sexy Rexy, Voodoo, Hot Cocoa, Soaring Spirits and Love and Peace to name a few. I’m not sure of the peak blooming season, although I know that March and April are gorgeous times. I believe in the summer they may be trimmed down due to the heat. I can’t wait to go back and try to capture even more beautiful roses on my camera.
I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday!
How lovely! What a wonderful place to visit. The pink against the concrete is my favorite.
Thank you! Guess what that is a tree behind the pink. I have to remember to zoom “out” as much as I zoom “in” because I don’t always get the whole picture of what is going on. I can’t remember what the tree looks like or is called, but I know they are gorgeous and wish I had a photo to show you!
Oh how pretty! I wanted to go there when I was in Arizona and I can’t remember what was going on but we couldn’t make it. We did go to the Zoo and loved it! Those roses are so beautiful and I love it that you caught a bee :O) Great post!
I’m obsessed with photographing bees and bugs in my flower photos! I am scared of bees but I seem to feel the opposite when I have a camera in front of me! Then I feel like I can get right up on them and not be hurt. Someday I’ll probably get stung and they will remind me that I’m not invisible after all!!
