On the seventh day of our Ireland tour we spent some time at House of Waterford Crystal.
It was a beautiful place, interesting and we had a great tour guide.
It was kind of upsetting though to learn that Waterford was not as large as it once had been. Such talented people that work there! I am so glad I got to see it, and hope that one day when the economy is better that it will be busier and more profitable.
The show room was gorgeous . . .
After looking around the showroom we went on a tour of how the crystal was made…We got a chance to see the mold room, blowing department, quality inspection, hand marking, cutting department and sculpting and engraving.
After seeing the techniques, we got to see some of the rare finished pieces…
Then back to the beautiful showroom …
My favorite items …
Would love to have a shot of Patron XO Cafe out of these shot glasses! LOL
Until next time, LAF
